Over the last 10 years I have developed a range of short writing workshops that have engaged both enthusiastic and reluctant participants of all abilities. The engaging activities have assisted people to find their voice, start writing and share stories. I have run the workshops in business, university and community settings. I have also run them as fundraising opportunities and a creative way to celebrate important occasions.
We come to your venue. No experience necessary. All materials provided.
Tales and Tea
Over a cup of tea and through a range of short activities, everyone is encouraged to write freely by letting go and allowing the words and ideas flow. Using artwork images, photographs and other prompts, participants are inspired to enjoy the telling tales process. Tales can be fact, fiction or a combination of both. This is an interactive experience that offers engaging and fun ways to explore words and images on the way to a short story or two. No experience necessary.
Consider Tea and Tales for your next celebration which could include pre-wedding gatherings (such as showers and hen’s events), birthdays, anniversaries, group or girl’s weekends away.
Words and Wine
Special occasions are about celebrating what we know about our near and dear. It is also about enjoying the process of finding out new things. Wine and Words is a playful story sharing process that gently encourages everyone to find their voice in a safe and friendly space. Short stories and verses are captured forever and creating little mementos of a special word or saying is part of this workshop. Having a sip or two of wine along the way certainly helps some of us take a risk to play with words and have a go at storytelling.
